Doctors’ Health SA 

Doctors’ Health SA is a not-for-profit, independent and profession-controlled organisation dedicated to improving the health of doctors and medical students for the good of the South Australian community. The service offers a suite of clinical (24/7 phone support & GP services), training and educational services, including doctors for doctors training, designed to achieve this aim. Doctors’ Health NT 

Doctors’ Health NT is a program of Doctors' Health SA Ltd which is an independent, not-for-profit and profession-controlled organisation dedicated to improving the health of doctors and medical students for the good of the Northern Territory community. DHAS offers an independent and confidential advice service for doctors and medical students in NSW & ACT. Each caller’s issues are unique, but often relate to work related stress, clinical competence, concern for a colleague, relationship issues, psychological disorders, alcohol or substance misuse and physical impairment. Nursing & Midwifery Health Program Victoria.

 Nursing & Midwifery Health Program Victoria exists to provide health support to all nurses, midwives and students of nursing and midwifery in Victoria faced with substance use, mental health or family violence concerns. It advises and assists managers and human resources staff managing nurses and midwives with these sensitive health issues in their workplace.

WESTERN AUSTRALIA

Doctors Health Advisory Service of WA (DHASWA)

DHASWA is an independent, confidential resource for doctors and medical students in WA. The two main services offered by DHASWA are:

  • A free 24/7 call line staffed by experienced GPs who provide initial advice for doctors and medical students feeling stressed or who are unsure what to do. Call 93213098.

  • A Doctors for Doctors list consisting of GPs and Psychiatrists in WA who have an interest in doctor’s health and are willing to prioritise appointments for doctors and medical students
